Negative Test:
Where do I go from here?
Did you think you were pregnant and just find out that you are not? Was this an unplanned pregnancy you thought you were experiencing and you were wondering what will I do? Were you thinking perhaps that your life and dreams were ruined? If these were your feelings before you found out you were not pregnant, then you must now be experiencing a huge relief to feel you do not have to make decisions about what to do next. Perhaps you are already saying, "I will NEVER allow myself to be in that position again". But in order to have that "peace of mind", there are still some decisions you will need to make about how you will live your life from here on out. There are really only two ways to accomplish that goal: abstinence or contraceptive use.
- Abstinence is a voluntary decision to not have sex and here are some of the benefits of making that choice:
- Abstinence is the only 100% guarantee that a woman will not get pregnant.
- Abstinence is also the only 100% way to insure that a woman will not get an STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease).
- Abstinence will help prevent the terrible heartache, disappointments, low self-esteem, and pain that having sex outside of marriage can often cause.
